Then join the NC REALTORS® Housing Foundation Board of Directors.

While NC REALTORS® Housing Foundation is a wholly-owned entity of NC REALTORS®, it is governed by a separate Board of Directors comprised of 19 voting members, including: 9 REALTORS®, 2 Association Executives (from local REALTOR® boards), 3 from housing-related industries, 1 NC REALTORS® Treasurer, and 4 directors shall be any combination of REALTORS® or NON- REALTORS®.

Directors are appointed by the current NC REALTORS® Leadership Team for terms beginning on January 1 of the following year. Director positions carry a three-year term, so positions can become available each year.

Candidates are recommended for appointment based on experience with housing affordability issues and advocacy, community involvement and demonstrated leadership in the real estate industry.

Anticipated Vacancies:

The following 8 Director positions will be appointed for terms beginning Jan. 1, 2020 through Dec. 31, 2022:

4 REALTOR® seats

1 NC REALTORS® Treasurer

1 Association Executive

2 at-large seats (can be a REALTOR® or a non-REALTOR®)
