North Carolina REALTORS® Housing Foundation Partners with Cabarrus County Habitat for Humanity

The North Carolina REALTORS® Housing Foundation is collaborating with the Cabarrus County Habitat for Humanity to bring joy to six families in the area. REALTORS® from across North Carolina will construct and paint playhouses for local Habitat families.

Leigh Brown, 2023 NC REALTORS® President expressed why this project is so important. “We are beyond excited to bring joy to deserving young children by building fun and safe places for them to play.  As REALTORS® we are committed to supporting our communities and are thrilled that we get to partner with Habitat to be the first organization to construct playhouses for Cabarrus County Habitat.”

North Carolina REALTORS® from across the state will be in Cabarrus County for their annual Winter Leadership Meetings the week of January 23, 2023. The meetings are held at different locations in NC each year.  This project is an important way for REALTORS® to make a meaningful and lasting difference in an area where they are hosting the installation of Leigh as their 2023 President.

“It’s important to me to start my term as the 2023 NC REALTORS® President by giving back to my community,” said Leigh Brown. “I hope this one-of-a-kind project in Cabarrus County will not only expand throughout our community, but across the state.”

REALTORS® are passionate about helping people realize their dream of homeownership, and this project helps expose children to playhouses at an early age.

“Maybe while the children are playing in their new playhouses it will plant a tiny seed for them to dream about owning their own home in the future,” said Leigh Brown.

The construction of the playhouses will begin on Monday, January 23, 2023 in Cabarrus County.
