Celebrating Women’s History Month

March is Women’s History Month, a time to celebrate the incredible contributions women have made throughout history. As we honor the achievements of women everywhere, let’s take a moment to recognize the inspiring women of the NC REALTORS® Housing Foundation Board of Directors. These dedicated leaders are working tirelessly to make a difference in our communities, advocating for affordable housing and supporting those in need. The ladies of the Board bring diverse expertise from real estate, leadership, and community outreach, united by their shared vision to improve access to safe, affordable housing. Through their work, they are advancing the mission of the Housing Foundation and inspiring the next generation of women leaders in real estate and beyond. Learn more about them below.

Wendy Harris

Wendy Harris, 2025 National Womens History Month imageWendy Harris was born in Germany and lived in England before moving to the United States at age 10. Wendy has lived on three continents, five countries, seven states and on a sailboat. Wendy has been a REALTOR for 24 years, a member of Long Leaf Pines REALTORS, and owns Team Harris Real Estate. Wendy, states, “successful women in this business have breadth as well as depth in lots of areas” having Determination, Professionalism, and strong Work Ethics made me successful. Serving as President of NCR in 2022 I looked for other ways to continue to contribute within our Association and NCRHF seemed like a great fit for my experience as well as my passion”. Wendy’s mantra or quote push through challenges or obstacles is Just keep moving forward. It is simple, but effective, and her favorite color is Blue because she loved the sky and the ocean…so it seems a natural fit to her personality.

Rosemarie Doshier

Rosemarie Doshier, 2025 National Womens History Month imageRosemarie Doshier has lived in NC 52 Years and has worked in real estate for thirty-eight years. Rosemarie is a member of the Outer Banks Association of REALTORS and owns The Doshier Team OBX Realty. Rosemarie believes the three characteristics females working in real estate need to possess is honesty, Ambition, and Enjoys working with people. Rosemarie states she joined the NCRHF because the foundation has a lot of good programs that our members are not aware of. I felt I could help share our goals and make REALTORS aware of who we are and what we are all about. Being a director would give me a voice on the programs we approve.” Rosemarie mantra or to push through challenges or obstacles is “you can’t keep doing the same thing and expect different results,” and her favorite color is lavender.

Beth Hensley

Beth Hensley, 2025 National Womens History Month imageBeth Hensley is a NC native and have lived in a 30-mile radius my whole life. Beth has been real estate since 2000 and have been a REALTOR® since 2006. Beth is the Catawba Valley association and Burke County Association Executive. Beth three characteristics females working in real estate industry need to possess is empathy, Resilience, and Strong Will. Beth joined NCRHF because someone I admire, and respect asked me to. I felt very honored by that and am so grateful I have been able to serve with such like-minded and passionate individuals. The NCRHF is all about people caring about people, people helping people, and I am very proud to serve on this board. Beth’s mantra for overcoming obstacles is “You cannot eat an elephant in a day,” and her favorite color is green.

Ayesha Richardson

Ayesha Richardson, 2025 National Womens History Month image Ayesha Richardson was born in New Jersey but grew up in Nc, and lived most of her life in Hope Mills, Cumberland County, NC. On April 20, 2010, Ayesha began her REALTOR career, establishing her own company, Mentor Rich Realty Group Inc, which is dually affiliated with Keller Williams. Ayesha is an active member of High point Association of REALTORS. The three characteristics Ayesha feels everyone should have been Integrity, strength, and loyalty. Ayesha joined the NCRHF BOD after being recruited by Michell Roberts, the 2023 NCRHF President. Ayesha states she was “not fully aware of the Housing Foundation until I met Michelle Roberts & Mark Lindsay, during the 2023 NCR Leadership Academy. Ayesha states “receiving clarity on the difference between NCR Housing Foundation & the REALTOR® Relief Fund, I asked how I can be involved. The opportunity presented itself and I jumped.” Ayesha has several mantras when confronted with challenges like I have made it through 100% of my worst days, track record is good.” “Let it go Elsa” “I can only control what I can control.” Ayesha’s favorite color is Hello Yellow, even though it is not really a color, but I cannot say just yellow b/c that just feels blah…like it is missing something.

Michelle Roberts

Michelle Roberts, 2025 National Womens History Month imageMichelle Roberts was born and raised in North Carolina and has been in real estate for 18 years. Earning her real estate license in 2007, Michelle started her company, Reignited Real Estate brokered by Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage. A member of Cape Fear REALTOR, Michelle believes that three of the most important characteristics for women in the real estate industry are integrity, grit, and a servant’s heart. Michelle joined the NC REALTORS® Housing Foundation to make an impact on the affordable housing crisis. I have watched the housing gap grow and believe that owning a home is the first step to financial freedom. I was searching for a way to bring about change when I fell in love with the NCRHF mission—and the rest is history. Michelle’s mantra for facing challenges” Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better.” – Maya Angelou. Michelle states she does not have a favorite color, but her children would say black because she wears it all the time.
